The Risnjak National Park is one of a few places in Europe where you can still see the big three – bear, wolf, and lynx in their natural habitat – so, we decided to share this unique opportunity with you, our visitors, through the wildlife observation program.
Forests inhabited by bears, wolves, and lynxes are not more dangerous places for humans than city streets. However, just as you should follow certain rules for safety in an urban environment, there are also rules for safety in a wildlife habitat.
The wild animal observation program starts at the main entrance to Risnjak National Park.
-meeting with the ranger at the main entrance of Crni Lug/Bijela Vodica
-transfer to the Lazac meadow by car in Risnjak National Park – 30 km
-by: getting to know the flora and fauna of the national park
-instructions for manner during the program
-night optics taking and instructions for use
-return arrangement (same evening or next morning)
If you want to climb the nearby mountains, the meeting with the ranger should be earlier, around noon. Then you stay in the cabin following the instructions you got from our ranger. Next morning he will return you to Crni Lug. You must take food and drinking water with you, there is only water for the toilet.
The price for the program is €100 (for 1 person) or €65 per person (for 2-3 people) plus a ticket to the National Park according to the price list.
